Exposure

Do I want to live or do I want to die?

I’m thinking—DIE. Just die. Right now.

As I struggled to open my eyes I wasn’t aware of all that was going on around me but one thing I knew beyond a shadow of doubt–my freezing cold, naked bottom was sticking up in the air and there were voices (as in PEOPLE!) all around it.

My eyes slowly began to focus and the first thing I saw was Dr Kildaire (OK, if you don’t know who that is think Patrick Dempsy and Grey’s Anatomy on steroids). Dr cutie was leaning over me wiping my brow with a washcloth while surrounded by a crowd of people, some looking at my BOTTOM while others acted like it wasn’t even sticking up like it was.

Exposure can be very uncomfortable.

I slowly started to gather my wits about me and it all started to come back. I am on a cruise ship, and my husband’s face is pressing in from the back of the crowd to see what the commotion is about.

Oh my.

Exposure can be very uncomfortable.

I am writing a new book and asking God to show me some things I have not seen before. Are you up for that challenge with me?

God’s Word says in Psalm 139:1

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.

Have you ever thought about that?

Have you ever taken some time to really consider who God created you to be and what you life is all about? Most of us don’t. We just plod through life one day at a time, taking each one as it comes and for what it is worth.

God never planned it that way.

The Bible says that every single person is specifically created and divinely designed.

If you were to take some time to REALLY THINK about your life right now, today, an rate it on a scale of 1-10. 1 being no where near your dream life and 10 being the life of your dreams, where would you find yourself?

(more about that Cruise later–or maybe in the book 🙂

  1. OK, Pat, you are just wrong. Asking me to grade my life? That makes me …… “exposed.”

OK, so since you are challenging me, I’d say I’m at the 7, but the 8, 9 and 10 are so desirable to me.

    I liked the challenge.

    1. Oh Pastor, you are a true leader to share so honestly!
I am right there with ya! My 7 is good but I am always pressing in for God’s BEST and Highest Dream! I want the 10!!
Thank you for being such a great role model,
