Day 7 – Unstuck Peace Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? Psalm 139:7 Unstuck Truth #7: Sometimes we have to go back to get ahead. The definition of Freedom is: exemption from external control; personal liberty, as opposed to bondage or slavery;…
Hi Friend, welcome to episode #2 Of Permission to Pause Podcast. Isaiah 32:17 The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. Sometimes it is not easy to live with women! I grew up always being referred to as “the oldest daughter” in…
Today let’s Take Permission to Pause over the word, TALENT. The scripture that I’m using today is Matthew 25:16, 21-22. “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to…
(Notes from Permission to Pause Episode #30) Second John is one of the shortest letters in the Bible and is clearly a very personal letter written with evident love and passion to a single, chosen woman. As you consider these verses, I encourage you to let yourself be that chosen…
I am a HUMMER. I am constantly, either singing, humming or whistling. Sometimes, it makes my family a bit nuts. They vacillate between teasing me and begging me to stop. My response—“You can NOT hum, sing or whistle if you are not happy, happy, happy 🙂 right? Try it! Anyways, yesterday…

Rest has been seemingly alluding me this year.
I’ve had to make it a point if NOT allowing myself to get drawn into social media and all the politics. I’m making an effort to stay off and chill. It has not been an easy thing to do. I’m reading Chapter 18 again Ana will check out your list of books. You are NOT alone Pat
Kari, I completely understand you!! Thank you for yoru feedback and thoughts. Stay tuned, lets talk more about this :))
Hmm, I should probably review chapter 18. Rest is my weak spot. I usually just keep pushing on. I try to recall that Jesus rested, & I better too, but it’s easy to get busy in the day to day and not notice I’m not slowing down. (I have done some slowing this year but with all the unusual crisis and stress, it hasn’t felt like rest & definitely wasn’t refreshing.) I need to prioritize it & have been thinking about it again, so this is a timely confirmation.
YES! I had to reread it as well LOL :))) We are always learning and RE learning right?!! I understand what you are saying about 2020 as well–being at home more SEEMS like it should equate to REST but it mostly has not.
I’m interested in hearing your thoughts as you reconsider this commandment with me :)) Blessings T
