The Top 5 Limiting Beliefs That Hold Christian Women Back

Hi friend—I am so glad you are here!

Today, we’re getting real about something that every woman of faith faces: the thoughts that whisper “You can’t.”

We’re right in the middle of our Esther Series, and this week we’re getting practical. If you’ve ever thought things like:

I’m not enough.

I’m too late.

I don’t have what it takes.

…then this one’s for you.

These are what I call limiting beliefs—the subtle lies that hold us back from walking fully in the purpose God has placed within us. But here’s the good news: each one can be crushed with God’s Word and a renewed mind.

Let’s walk through the Top 5 Limiting Beliefs that hold Christian women back—and the truth that sets us free.

Belief #1: “I’m Not Enough.”

🕊️ Truth:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

🌸 Reframe:
You’re not supposed to be enough—He is.

When you feel inadequate, remember that your weakness is the very place where God’s strength shows up best.

Belief #2: “I’m Too Late.”

🕊️ Truth:

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

🌸 Reframe:
You’re right on God’s timeline.

Delay doesn’t mean denial. God is never behind schedule, and neither are you.

Belief #3: “I Don’t Belong.”

🕊️ Truth:

“You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people.” — Ephesians 2:19

🌸 Reframe:
You belong—because He chose you.

Your identity isn’t defined by where you’ve been, but by who you are in Christ. You’re not an outsider—you’re family.

Belief #4: “I Don’t Have What It Takes.”

🕊️ Truth:

“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” — Philippians 4:13

🌸 Reframe:
You already carry everything you need—because the Spirit lives in you.

You don’t have to search outside yourself for what God has already planted within.

Belief #5: “My Past Disqualifies Me.”

🕊️ Truth:

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” — Isaiah 43:18–19

🌸 Reframe:
God redeems, restores, and repurposes your story.

Your past is not a dis qualifier—it’s a platform for God’s glory.

A Final Word of Encouragement

These lies are nothing new—they’re the same whispers the enemy used in the Garden. But you don’t have to stay stuck beneath them.

God has given you the truth to crush every single one.
