Are You Passionate TODAY???

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 (New International Version)

Are you living your dream today??

God says in His Word that He came to earth to show us the way to embrace the abundant life.  (John 10:10).

If someone asked you today…”Are You Living the Abundant Life?”, what would your answer be?

A few years ago…over 20 actually (time does fly when we are having fun!), I had the privilege of giving up a blooming insurance business that was headed towards making me a millionaire-ess, to go into Full Time ministry. It has been an amazing ride. One that I would not give up for all the millions I might have earned selling insurance. Instead I CHOSE to spend my days with heartbroken, hopeless women who need nothing more than a Holy God.

I have loved every day!

It’s true, since the moment I surrendered my life to the EXACT THING that God created me to do, I have been PASSIONATE every day.

We do not have to guess what God created us to do. It is usually right in front of us if we will just open our eyes and look for it.

Here are 3 things you can look at that will reveal your PASSION:

1) What is Your Emotional Heartbeat?

What makes your heart pound and your head spin? What issue, need, heartbreak stirs you up so much you want to pound on tables? You talk about it everywhere you go? You can’t NOT try to make others understand??

2) What are your unique Physical Abilities?

Do you love to cook? Sew? Camp? Exercise? Garden? Decorate? SHOP?? (OK–I’ve slipped into ridiculous!–OF COURSE YOU LOVE TO SHOP!!)

The fact is, God has PLACED a passion inside of our hearts. He actually CREATED! PLANNED! DESIRES! For us to operate in our area of gifting.

We get JOY from doing the things we are passionate about. Passion and Joy lead to health, peace and ministry!! If you don’t do what you love, you will slowly PERISH!!

3) What has life given you the Experience to do?

As we look back over our lives, we see the hand of God at work. He DESIRES to lead us into His plan, His provision, His assignment. God WANTS us to discover His PASSION for US!

Take some time to review your life.

What experiences have shaped you? What childhood hobby comes to mind? What hand has life dealt that God might want to use too STIR YOUR PASSION?

Some things to Consider are:

Vocational Experiences (What work/jobs have you loved most?)

Educational Background (What classes rang your chimes?)

Past Pain (What has God brought you through that you love to tell?)

Spiritual (What has your Spiritual Journey taught you?)

Ministry (Where do you enjoy serving?)

Family (What Family of origin did God place you in? What has that divine placement taught you about the world?)

God say that His people PERISH for Lack of Vision.
