The Grateful Yes
As November draws to a close, I can’t help but feel the soft pull of transition. The calendar is shifting, the air carries that familiar hush, and our hearts begin to move toward the glow of Advent. It’s a tender in-between time — a place where gratitude for what’s behind us meets anticipation for what God is shaping in the season ahead.

Gratitude, when we hold it close, does more than warm our hearts. It moves us.
It prepares us.
It positions us to say yes to the next thing God is whispering.
Sometimes that next step is small — a single phone call, a few minutes of writing, a quiet prayer, a moment of clarity we finally stop ignoring. Sometimes it’s big — a dream resurfacing, a new direction unfolding, or the courage to take action where we’ve been stuck.
But gratitude softens the soil so faith can take root.
We’re stepping into that gentle transition between Thanksgiving and Advent — the space where our hearts are still warm from gratitude, but also ready for what’s next. If you’re anything like me, this stretch of the calendar always feels like a deep breath. A holy pause. A moment to realign my soul before the beautiful whirlwind of December begins.
And this year, I want to invite you into something simple…
Something sacred…
Something powerful:
Let gratitude lead you into obedience.
Not pressure.
Not perfection.
Not performance.
Just the soft, steady “yes” that grows out of remembering God’s faithfulness.
This week, take a moment to look back and whisper, “Thank You, Lord… You’ve been faithful.”
And let that remembrance be the spark that stirs your next brave step.
Scripture:
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3
