Celebrating 40 Years of Transformation

Last week was a special one, as it marked my 40th spiritual birthday. **A Journey of 40 Years with the Lord**

On June 10, 1984, I surrendered my messed up life to the Lord. It seems like yesterday and it seems like a thousand years. This pivotal moment occurred during my very first women’s conference, at a time in my life filled with utter heartbreak and crisis. I had been invited by a young woman in the new church I started attending as a last resort for my marriage; my children and honestly my LIFE! I heard the clear gospel message that day, for the first time ever. I had been to “church” now and then as a child but I had never understood that Jesus had me and my mess in mind when He surrendered Himself and hung on the cross and again when He proved His “I AM” and rose from the dead.

The Power of Reflection on this Spiritual Milestone

Reflecting on my four decades of faith, I so clearly remember my early years of faith in Jesus!. During this time, I learned to pray, study the Bible, and navigate various life transitions. My commitment to faith helped me find the purpose in my past mistakes and challenges, leading and landing me into my lifelong ministry. The FIRST LIVING WORD, I heard from God was Jeremiah 1. As petrified as I was, I knew God was calling me to share my story publicly.

I later realized He has called us ALL TO THAT!

Jesus wants OUR STORY!

Revelation 12:11 says WE OVERCOME the enemy of our lives through the Blood of Jesus and the WORD of our testimony!

Often, the most impactful areas of God’s work in our lives are outside our comfort zones and come from the things He has brought us through in our past. Either DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY!

I want to encourage you my friend, to allow yourself times of introspection on your own spiritual journeys.
