Imagine Me-Set Free–AGAIN!!

The only thing holding me down in my prayer chair this morning is my laptop. Otherwise I would be on the ceiling or maybe even in the sky! That is where the action started today.

Over the past weeks my quiet time has been focused on Freedom.

I have been studying for our upcoming  “Imagine Me” Freedom Weekend. Asking God to fill me with His timeless truth in a fresh way.

Today, I have been getting high on God’s Word since “O Dark Thirty” (as my earthly father used to say).

God woke me up REALLY early. I stood with my head propped in my hands next to the understandably sleepy coffee pot until I was able to slip my cup under the slow flow of that black liquid I was thinking would get my morning started. Unlike most mornings of heading straight for my comfy prayer spot, I wandered out into the darkness and fading stars with my steaming coffee. I settled into one of my front porch rocking chairs and began to smile.

The God of the Universe was waiting for me. He had something to show me. He wanted me to enjoy His morning ritual. He wanted me there, with Him.

Elohim–My Creator, Almighty, All Sufficient One. Waiting to meet me. To share. To stir. To remind me of His magnificence.

El Elyon–My Most High God, The ONE I can trust. Waiting to hear my heart. Waiting to cover me with His comfort.

Jehovah Jireh–My provider. The ONE who was going to drop some good Word into my heart and mouth for the hundreds of women (His Spiritual SEED) who are coming to hear a Word of hope, a Word of truth, a Word of revival NEXT WEEKEND!!

Waiting for me.

Waiting for us.

Jehovah-Nissi–My Banner, My victory. The ONE whom I will “LIFT UP”, will hold ME UP!!!

As I sipped my coffee, He kept the sky up in the air. He blew cool air through the leaves in the trees over my head. He whispered His promise of the coming change of seasons.

As I quietly watched, He began to give orders to the morning and show the dawn it’s place.

After a while, as the light obeyed His directions and took over, I slipped inside and picked up my laptop and GOD, The God of the Universe, began to unfold His plan for FREEDOM.

My Freedom.

The Freedom of His daughters.

Imagine.

  1. Need to read this…. To read the names of God and remember exactly who HE is! And also to remember that He is also waiting for me. Sometimes I forget that and get stuck in a rut.

    I was awake and visiting with God in the same manner this a.m….except I was on the back porch. Had the same thoughts of God being Jehovah Jireh–My provider! Of course, I was not praying about what to share with hundreds of women…but was praying that He would show me that He was STILL there providing for me after almost three months of not working. I asked that He show me in a visual way that He was there, and right then, I saw the most amazing falling star! I know that was God’s way of saying….”I’m right here, I have never left you”.

    Praying for you and the team as you do your final prep for next weekend. Praying that God will open the hearts of all that are there to the encougement you will share. Love ya girl!

  3. I love being refreshed. I have learned, or should say learn over and over, that WALKING in FREEDOM is a constant choice. An everyday refill and worth FAR more than coffee 🙂

  5. It is possibly my most favorite time of the day. I’m almost always on my back porch waiting for the sun to peek up and shed streams of light through my garden. I loved your description of how God met you in the morning hours … and I love the reminder of WHO HE IS. God is using you in great ways. Blessings!
