Your Life Still Counts!!

We all have a story to tell and I can absolutely guaranty—it is a story that MATTERS!

I love the fact that there are some people out there who have wonderful, pretty stories of victory and success that start with great choices of youth. It blesses and encourages me to hear the stories of people who actually followed the “when I grow up I want to be…” magic of childhood. I love those tales of growing up in God chasing families where dream driven adventures are encouraged. I love them even more since my story just didn’t go that way.

Most of my blog friends know about my very poor choices as a young woman and how those choices led me right smack into a young adult life of heartbreak, shame and regret. I didn’t find the “missing slipper” until my 30th birthday. After that, God took over and my pumpkin turned into a chariot for the passionate pursuit of His Big Plan for my life. I learned that even after those bad choices and mistakes of my past–my life still counts!

Many women carry around a deep and unspoken sense of insignificance, regardless of how confident they appear on the outside. Regret and shame over past failure, sin, and shortcomings weigh them down and make them feel unworthy to be loved, much less used, by a holy God.

My friend, Tracie Miles understands these feelings. In her brand new book, Your Life Still Counts, she shares her personal story of a teenage pregnancy and her own choice for abortion to reassure readers that God can use them no matter their past. With this powerful, empathetic example, Tracie shows women how God has equipped and prepared them for their divine purpose through the specific experiences of their past.

In this book Tracie not only shares her own story but the stories from other women who have discovered their purpose because of adverse experiences. She helps women embrace a new perspective, get past their pain, and discover the courage to step out of their comfort zones to help others. Readers will find forgiveness and healing for the painful experiences of their past, and inspiration to step into the purpose God has for their future.

Here is the endorsement I was allowed to place in Tracie’s book:

“Regardless of what your past holds, you will laugh and you will cry as you walk with Tracie through the healing journey from heartbreak and loss to discover Your Life Still Counts! Prepare to be amazed!”—Pat Layton, author of Surrendering the Secret and A Surrendered Life

our Proverbs 31 friend Renee Swope’s words were:

“No matter what you’ve been through or what’s been done to you, if you’re still breathing, God isn’t finished with you yet! Let Tracie Miles help you discover your calling and the way you are uniquely equipped to make your life count!”Renee Swope, bestselling author of A Confident Heart and Proverbs 31 Ministries’ radio cohost, “Everyday Life with Lysa & Renee”
