What are you doing today, that will become tomorrow in just a few minutes?

Where oh where have the last 12 days gone since my last post…oh where, oh where have they gone?

I’ll bet your life does that also.

As much as I try to slow things down, I just cannot. The clocks keeps ticking, the calendar pages flip and my hair roots re-color appointments get closer and closer.

The good news is that I am doing EXACTLY what God called me to do. Yep… Exactly.

Can you say that? Do you believe it?

I didn’t say I was doing it perfectly. Surely not perfectly. But I am doing it. Right now. I’m not hoping for it. Thinking about MAYBE trying it. Wishing that some break would come along and do it for me or thinking maybe tomorrow I’ll start stepping into my dreams.

I am doing what I believe God has planned for me to do right now.

As busy as life is and as fast as it moves, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I truly LOVE everything I am doing (except maybe time in airports and flying 🙂 but I do love BEING in the places, with the people God flies me to!)

I love it when I am in my home. Although I have always loved my home, I appreciate being home so much more than before I traveled. The little things like my bed, my pillow, my bathtub, my prayer chair.

I love cookouts around the pool with my honey, my kids, my  “G’s” and whoever else stops by that day.

I  love flipping through decorating and cooking magazines on airplanes.

I love the days when I get to linger in my prayer chair and be renewed and refreshed  through the LIVING WATER of God’s amazing Word. (Please do not go a single day without God’s Word!)

I love being part of a thriving and growing church family.

I love being part of a local faith filled ministry that depends entirely upon God’s favor and where lives are literally saved DAILY!

I love speaking and writing.

I love helping women embrace FREEDOM, restoration, redemption and step into the purpose God created them to achieve.

I love serving, leading and helping new ministries, and women’s ministry leaders be born and grow.

My post today was going to be about Paul’s “cut to the chase” style of speaking in Galatians but this is what God had me write.

Did you need to read it?

What do YOU love about your fleeting days?

Are YOU doing Exactly what God is calling you to do? Do you KNOW exactly what God has called you to do?

Come back tomorrow and lets hear what Paul has to say about that.

  1. I read this post this morning and have been ruminating on it all day. I’ve talked to Jesus about it and asked Him to show me if there is something I’m doing that I should not be doing or not doing that I should be doing. Thus far, nothing has surfaced, but I plan to keep asking. I want to be squarely in His will. Thanks, my friend.

  2. Very thought provoking! I struggle with being where I believe He is calling me to be and the confines of a full time job, but I haven’t really gotten a sense of what I am supposed to do about it. Sometimes I wonder if my faith isn’t strong enough to let go of the security of a paycheck and health insurance and let God take care of it. Then other times I feel like I should wait for Him show me exactly when and where to take the next step and not just jump off a cliff with no visible means of support. I have to say, though, that I definitely believe I am doing what He called me to do as my “other” job. Again….very thought provoking.

  3. Thank you for the comments ladies. I knew that such a bold statement on my part might generate some thoughtful feedback.
My heart is stirred by the desire to press into all that I believe God has for me even if it is one tiny step at a time, one DAY at a time.
I know you both and believe you are doing that as well. God says
by their fruit you will know them” and you 2 are sweet “fruity” girls 🙂
