Want to Loose Some Weight Today?

Yesterday was fun. I loved every story and every sweet friend connection. Laughter is so good for us! I’m not surprised–The Bible tells us so!

Isaiah 51:11 says: “The ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting JOY will crown their heads. Gladness and JOY will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away!” YEAH! Jesus loves laughter and joy!

Yesterday I shared about my “Joy Journey” during my quite time.

Today I had a different study plan in mind but as God would have it–He wasn’t done stirring up my tickle spot. I know I’m a bit strange but I dove into 1 Corinthians this morning needing desperately to be reminded of a verse that is so worn out in my Bible as to be barely readable-

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 have been my “GO TO” verses during the writing of my last book.

Now they are my “Go-To” place for editing out 7,000 WORDS!! Yep–My Editor loved my book, she just didn’t love ALL of it :).

Anyway, on the way to that verse this morning I decided to start with 1 Corinthians 1:1 and before I knew it I was cracking up.

This is the deal–Paul is talking about strife and division in the church and got my attention because of a bit of “strife and division” I have recently been navigating in my own life.

As Paul waxes eloquent in his rather “preachy ” style–he offers a word of correction to his readers about NOT creating situations that create situations, like Baptizing folks into your “church” (aka your way of thinking).

This was the funny part–in verse 14 Paul says–I AM SO thankful that I NEVER DID THAT! EXCEPT…..there were those 2 people…and….oh yeah THAT one FAMILY!….Other than that, I just don’t remember 🙂

How easy it is to FORGET where we have messed up, huh? I loved it. I love Paul. He is so normal!

Anyway, you may not get that at ALL but hey….as 1 Corinthians 2:4 says, which is what I was after today ANYWAY–My message is not so much with WISE WORDS! :)…….Other than that, I just don’t remember 🙂

On a closing note–if you can’t laugh at Paul, laugh at something today ’cause Yahoo Health says it’s GOOD FOR YOU!
