Walking In Hope

I am going to allow myself 15 minutes to complete this post since the last one I did about Crabbing took me about 4 HOURS!!! (Don’t ask me why). In any case, I have only gotten 2 sweet comments on it so apparently it did not stir the hot pot of discussion and overwhelming AWE that I had hoped for.

The whole thing about BLOG comments and the measure of our worth is fodder for a whole different post, or  possibly a counselors couch, one or the other.

I am sitting alone in a hotel room in COLD and WET Kentucky, about to begin a weekend of 4 speaking events that begin at lunch today.

I have been enjoying some treasured and yearned for time with the Lord, since about 6:30 am. Awesome time. Precious actually.

In any case, I am flat chomping at the bit to tell SOMEBODY this most amazing thing about my SHOES!!! So I am going to tell “Sweet Tea”!!!

Before I left Tampa, I was packing my clothes for this trip. I had each outfit that I was considering laid out on my bed. This is IMPORTANT stuff for us girls especially when we are going to be standing in front of lots of other girls who will be noticing what we have on!! As I plopped one pair of shoes up on the bed next to a dress that I was considering wearing…….

THIS IS WHAT I SAW!!!!!!

Right smack inside these shoes it says “FULL OF HOPE”. Can you believe that! Have you ever seen anything like that inside a pair of shoes?? These are not new shoes. I have worn them before  and I have never seen this.
OBVIOUSLY, I chose to go with that outfit as well a pick a few other things to go with the shoes!
I don’t know about you but I am FULL OF HOPE and there is nothing more that I want in all the world than to WALK in it!!
I have spent some time this wonderful Saturday morning, thanking God for who he is, for the Hope that he has given me. His WORD that is FULL OF HOPE.
Join me today will you, look up a few verses of scripture that have the word HOPE in them, then, even if you don’t have these cute grey and cream heels…..WALK IN HOPE today!!

Of all the ones that I read, the scripture that I chose for my day is:
Psalm 62:5-8 (New International Version)

5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
my hope comes from him.

6 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

7 My salvation and my honor depend on God [a] ;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.

  1. Greetings Pat,

    You were kind enough to visit two of my Ministry blogs not long ago and I am so appreciative of that. I finally made my way over here and as with all things it’s GOD’s perfect timing!

    I am a living HOPE daughter of the King. I know that my hope, my blessed assurance is in the LORD and I sing His praises for it! Praise the Lord!

    I was very moved by your message and I appreciate the LORD giving you the blessing of being FILLED WITH HOPE so that you could in turn share it with us.

    Secondly, I pray that as God has allowed you to be a vessel, an instrument by which to minister into the lives of others, that today your heart was completely surrendered to Him so that all of the women were blessed along with you in His presence.

    Less of me Lord and more of Thee is the cry.Amen.

    I will definitely have to return and spend some time here with you. You have a sweet tea presence about you (smile) and it’s always a joy to meet other surrendered sisters realizing that it’s a daily dying to the flesh in order to bring all glory to our LORD.

    I followed your direction and selected Scriptures that minister to my heart on HOPE.

    Psalm 9:18 But the needy will not always be forgotten,nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish.

    Psalm 25:3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.

    2 Corinthians 3:12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.

    Philippians 1:20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

    Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

    Hebrews 10:23 is one of my favorites. I often pray and speak it.

    Bless you my new friend.

  2. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

    To be full of hope means to be full of faith in Him -or to be standing in a chic pair of shoes;).

  3. Ladies,
    Thank you for visiting me today and for your added WORDs on hope. I am also very grateful for your prayers. It was an incredible day of ministry!!
    I wore black boots today in the cold Kentucky rain but
    tomorrow, I walk in the HOPE shoes!
    Blessings sisters!

  4. Praise the LORD Pat! I’m so glad it was an incredible day of ministering to others. In ministering to others through the LORD we are also ministered back to. Amen!

    Enjoy the HOPE of the LORD as He fills you up each day with His glory. Safe travels back home in Jesus Name!

  5. Oh He is Faithful to give us a word right when we need it isn’t He….. Even if it is in a pair of shoes. I am so excited to me you in person Pat. I will see you sweet Lady in two weeks…. In Texas of course.

  6. I wish my shoes said that. Way cool.

    I’m sorry Kentucky could not offer you some better weather. Being a former Florida girl myself, I can tell you that these cold, gray Kentucky days about send ME to the counselor’s couch.

    Obviously, I won’t be able to make it to see you. But hopefully someday we will meet.

    Enjoy your weekend “full of hope” and have a safe trip back to the Sunshine State.

    Blessings,
    Sandy Cooper

  7. As you know Pat, HOPE is my spiritual name,
    I love what it means:
    “Grounds for believing that something good may happen”

    I love that my hope is in Him allllll day long.
    # Psalm 25:5
    guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

    I am so glad you are now walking in HOPE, Pat! 🙂

  8. Oh my goodness!! How awesome is that!

    Hope your weekend is awesome and the others to follow! (Full of Hope!)

    ~Beth

  9. Pat, You are so cool! you can find a message anywhere — everywhere! That draws people to you and inspires me to see the message! Its right here all the time!
    Love you, Paula

  10. OK…I want to buy me some “Full of hope” shoes! AMAZING! It’s funny…I’m thinking of how wonderful it would be to wear those shoes – the visual reminder they would be – the strength they would give as I walk in that truth – yet, I don’t need a pair of shoes to tell me that I DO walk in hope. With or without the shoes, God’s Word says that I can OVERFLOW with hope.

    “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

    I received a teapot for Christmas with that verse printed on it. The word “Hope” is in darker print. It came with two teacups – one is “Joy”, the other “Peace”. How precious this visual is to me as well. The God of “Hope” filling me with “Joy and Peace”.

    Walk in His love today. I know you do,
    Blessings,
    Joy
