The Listening Life–Places to Pause Part 2

We all know it–

We all struggle with it–

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of life, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and exhausted. We are constantly on the go, running from one obligation to the next, trying to meet deadlines and keep up with our responsibilities. However, it is important that we remember to take time for ourselves, to find places of rest and pause where we can recharge and refocus.

In fact Jesus INVITES US TO REST WITH HIM–LIKE HIM!

As a ministry leader–even more, as a WIFE and MOM–I have seen firsthand the toll that a fast-paced, high-stress lifestyle can take on a person.

It is God’s instruction to honor SABBATH and Jesus’s invitation–to make time for rest and reflection, to find places where you can quiet our spirit to hear His voice.

For some, this might mean taking a long walk in nature, finding a quiet spot in the park where you can sit and listen to the birdsong. For others, it might mean taking a warm bath or curling up with a good book. Whatever it is that brings you peace and helps you to feel rejuvenated, make it a priority in your life.

We are continuing a discussion of 10 Places to Rest on the Permission to Pause Podcast this week! I hope, if you have been missing– you will catch up from Ep 56-59!

It is important to remember that taking time for rest and reflection is not a luxury, but a necessity.

In order to be our best selves and to fulfill God’s purpose for our life, we must first take time in His presence to pause and pray, even in the midst of a busy and demanding schedule.

So my friends, I urge you to take some time TODAY to find a place of rest and pause.

Whether it is just a few moments of quiet contemplation or a few hours of uninterrupted relaxation, make it a priority in your life. Remember, taking care of yourself is not a selfish act, but a necessary one if you want to be your best self and make a positive impact in the world.

Blessings, peace and rest in the midst of life’s demands! Jesus said so!!
