The Key To Blessing
I travel a lot!
God has blessed my life for the past 5 years with the gift of full time writing and speaking at woman’s events and sanctity of life ministries.
There are many things I love about travel and many things I hate/do not love.
One thing I do not love is hotel living.
Unless the hotel has the words “AND SPA” on the end of their name, I’m pretty much just “doing it afraid”.
I know that you can relate to the process of checking in, telling your life story to simply get registered, finally getting your room, dragging your luggage to THE TOP FLOOR AT THE END OF THE HALLWAY, inserting your “key” that looks like (and actually owns) your credit card, only to find the red light on the door doesn’t turn green.
Of course, there is no hotel employee to be found.
Of course, there is no phone anywhere.
Of course, you have to gather your luggage back to together and go back down the long hallway to the elevator and slowly drop downstairs to get a new key.
Have you ever gone through all of that only to get back down to the desk to find out the dead key is really all your fault? (I’m asking for a friend!)
Turns out, your cell phone DEMAGNETIZED your room key.
At the risk of taking a life situation to a whole new level of thinly veiled spiritual analogy, the thing that happens to that room key is kind of “supernatural”.
Stay with me 🙂
It is not something we can SEE but when we place that phone next to that key, we steal the power from the key to open that door for us.
We take away the power of the key allow us to step into what belongs to us.
Right?!
TRUTH-regardless of the lame and loosely linked comparison, the same thing can happen to us spiritually.
Our verse of the day is Proverbs 13:21 that says:
Trouble pursues the sinner,
but the righteous are rewarded with good things.
The truth is trouble is out there.
Little trouble like doors that won’t open and BIG trouble like sickness, financial loss, family brokenness…..
The Bible clearly tells us that in this world we will have trouble BUT—GOD has overcome the world.
God has COMMANDED blessings to come into your life.
He has PROMISED provision and protection, peace and favor but we have to BELIEVE HIM and follow His plan.
I love the verses in Revelation that speak to Gods’ supernatural opening of doors.
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Today is the day for the power that is the magnet of your life to God’s blessings to be REACTIVATED!
Thank you Lord that GREATER is your power that is in me than the power stealer that is in the world. Remind me Holy Spirit that in you, I have all that I need. Remind me to keep the TRUTH away from the LIES and to watch for the power of your promise to open every door I need to step through! Amen.
2 Corinthians 12:9New International Version (NIV)
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Happy Monday friends,
