When do you want to get a tree????……(lalala goes here) A few days a go, our middle son sat on the couch in our Family Room and said” Mom, when did you become Martha Stewart?” My head spun his direction in an “exorcist” kind of move for two reasons. I…
I’m thinking Martha Stewart here, not Martha of the Bible. I have really always wanted to be more like Mary of the Bible, the one who sat at the feet of Jesus as opposed to Martha, the one who was too busy to “Linger”. On the same note, I really…
As November draws to a close, I can’t help but feel the soft pull of transition. The calendar is shifting, the air carries that familiar hush, and our hearts begin to move toward the glow of Advent. It’s a tender in-between time — a place where gratitude for what’s behind…

My baby girl – same age – is heading off next weekend, too! It’s wonderful having her home and it’s wonderful that she’s excited to go back.
It’s also wonderful that hubs and I really happen to enjoy each other, since we’re “all we got” when she leaves! :o)
XO Melinda
Melnda,
I know that you know the PAIN of it all 🙂
Yes, at least we have shoulders to cry on! That is a blessing!!
