More Thanksgiving Fun!

I just couldn’t resist sharing A REALLY COOL something new that “Rolled” out of my Thanksgiving Kitchen today!

I bought these adorable little pie crust cut-outs from Williams Sonoma this year. Julianna and I had a blast cutting them out to decorate pies and salads for our dinner tomorrow. Check it out:

Aren’t they cute? You just press the little dough cutters into the pie crust and lift them right up. Easy as PIE :)!!

I also received a few recipe request today. One for one of my families favorite chips dip called “Cowboy Caviar” here is the SCOOP–Get it 🙂

“Cowboy Caviar”

4 cans sliced black olives, liquid drained

1 jar of Vigo Greek Pepperoncini Peppers Chopped with juice

1 jar sliced Kalamata Olives with juice

Several full tablespoons of chopped garlic

3 or 4 FRESH tomatoes chopped

A bunch of fresh Green Onion chopped

A few shakes of Red wine Vinegar

A few shakes of EVOO

Mix it all up and let marinate in the fridge for as long as you can keep it a secret. Mine lasted about an hour in there.

Serve with Large Frito Scoops or just a big spoon!

I also got a request from Yolanda @ Higher Ground for my Sweet Potato casserole Recipe. Here you go friend. This is a family heirloom so enjoy!

“Mom Layton’s Sweet Potato Casserole”

2 Cups grated raw sweet potato (1 large)

1 c sugar

1 c milk

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbsp flour

2 eggs

1 stick butter melted

1 tsp cinnamon

3/4 c chopped pecans

Mix all and bake at 325 degrees for one hour in a 9″ casserole. During last 15 minutes dot the top with Pineapple Chunks.

I multiply this recipe 10x’s for my Thanksgiving crew!

After a wonderful day of cooking, my last job was taking 3 pies from the oven. A Cherry Pie cooked for my honey and 2 Pecan Pies. One Pecan Pie was made with pre-mixed Williams Sonoma Pecan Pie Filling. One was my own mix which took much longer to prepare. I can’t wait to see the family “Winner.

What do you think?? Can you tell a difference?

I have to admit, not everything on my T Day table is homemade. This adorable little Turkey is made of brownie cupcakes and is just waiting to be ripped apart by my G-babies!

That is what turkey is for isn’t it?? To be GOBBLED??

Ps 106:1

Praise the Lord, O my soul!
