My friend Lysa Tekeurst has posted some precious surrendered secrets on her blog over the past few days. I encourage you to go over for a visit.
I remember the day (this will date me!) when we used to drive our car up to a gas station and a man in a jumpsuit would come running out and fill our car with gas. While he was doing that, he would take a spray bottle and a cloth…
In the middle of the night while I was solving all the problems of the world instead of sleeping–my wandering wondering–landed upon 2 very different interactions I had encountered over the past few days. One was with someone who is always focused on serving and encouraging someone else. Regardless of…
I am so thrilled to welcome my sweet friend Suzie Eller to the blog today! She is an author of eight books including her most recent, Come With Me: Discovering the Beauty of Following Where He Leads. When she’s not writing, you can find Suzie playing with her six grandbabies, all under…
I PLOPPED into my Prayer Chair this morning. Are you familiar with “PLOPPING” verses “sitting”. You may need to be. PLOPPING makes more of an impact, more of a statement. It is more intentional and has more purpose behind it. PLOPPING has the purpose of STAYING in the placed plopped…
I am sitting in my prayer chair for the FIRST time since last Monday. Not because I haven’t prayed. The fact is I have prayed a LOT! I have been on lots of airplanes and when I am on airplanes, I pray without ceasing :). God knows that, maybe that…

Thank you Pat for sharing your heart. Unfortunately I wiped my secret out of my memory so completely that I don’t know the exact date, only the time of year. But God knows and I know He holds my little one especially close on that day!
BTW, the link you put for Lisa’s blog didn’t work……it took me to a page that wouldn’t load.
Blessings,
Debbie

Girl, that was a beautiful post. Thanks for being real. There is freedom in that. Great freedom. Thanks for having the courage to speak out so others can follow.
May the Lord bless you!

I am SO with you on this topic. As you know I had an abortion too. And Jesus healed me after many years in secret shame. The verse you quoted is one God used in my life to speak over my wound.
Love your sites. SO excited to watch God start healing women. I am on a mission to be a voice whether in writing or speaking. I will not bow down anymore to the voices of the enemy. I will stand firm on the promises of God.
Love heals.
thanks for the comment Pat. It’s so wonderfully refreshing to be surrounded by a ommunity of women who are learning and growing in the Lord, as I am. A seminar by Maria Durso and a weekend healing retreat were the beginning for my recovery and restoration. Although the pain and sorrow are still there, God has been faithful
