God Sees You!
There are times when I feel invisible.
Times when I long for someone to notice my hard work or my sincere intentions but they don’t. There are times when it seems like the effort I am making matters to no one. There are times when I can’t help, no matter how hard I try not to, compare what I am doing with someone who is doing it WAY better and having far more success.
In those times, I only have ONE place to go and one thing to do. Draw from the supply of God’s Word that I have planted in my heart.
His promises remind me that those kinds of thoughts DO NOT come from Him. Defeat is not in His vocabulary. Invisibility DOES NOT EXIST when it comes to God and His children.
He always sees. Always blesses. Always comforts. Always notices. Always loves. Always rewards FAITH, HOPE and LOVE.
I am not invisible to God. You are not invisible to God.
As I run my last day errands before speaking at a FREEDOM WEEKEND that has been in my prayers for close to a year, God’s Word is fresh in my heart and on my lips.
“Where can I go from your presence, where can I flee from your spirit? IfI go to the heavens, you are there. If I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
Psalm 139:7-8
If this post is you today, I ask you to think about this truth along with me and remember–God was–
In the water with Jonah.
In the dessert with Hagar.
In the castle with Esther.
In the stable with Mary.
In the cave with David.
He IS–
In the hospital room with YOU!
In the courtroom with your best friend.
In the employment office with your husband.
In the classroom with your children.
In the cell with your nephew.
He is with you today. He is THE ONE TRUE GOD–who sees it all.
Look at Him and smile today! He sees you 🙂
As always, I am encouraged and blessed by your comments and feedback. I love knowing that my post has helped someone else, along with God’s Word–it makes me feel less invisible 🙂
What makes you feel less invisible? What scripture? What action?
Thank you for this wonderful reminder, Pat. Just when I was feeling a little forgotten, God plopped your post in my inbox to remind me that He cares about me, even on my most mundane days! Love you!
As I’m here reading this; I’m also watching the local news. There is a bomb threat at my sons’ elementary school and my niece’s high school and all of our kids are on lock down. Police dept. will not allow us parents to pick up our kids and all I’m left with is to pray. As I’m praying and reading your words I came upon “in the classroom , I’m with your children” I immediately started crying. I needed to know that He was with them right now, comforting them and keeping them safe. God is good…all the time!
WOW!! Maribel, I am praying with you!!
Just “happened” to come and see your email!
Please let me know how your children are,
Pat
Thank you for this post!!!! OMGOSH! I have never thought about this!
I just read Mirabel’s post!! Praying that things are ok w/ her and her children!! How scary!!!
Thank yo7 for allowing the Lord to use you to speak to my heart this evening g. I have really been struggling the past few weeks, really intense the last few days, with feeling invisible. I am tired. Tired of trying, and I feel ready to wave the white flag and give up. So this morning I opened the book of Psalms and feasted. Thank you, Pat, for your encouragement. It was desperately needed.
Praying for Maribel and the children and all those who feel helpless and hopeless. One of the books my AP English students read this summer was Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. I was surprised when my students reported that they really liked it — perhaps they identified with that nameless, invisible narrator.
