Four Steps to Clarity: Prioritize Your Life with Purpose
Welcome back friend!
As the vibrant colors of spring blossom around us, beckoning us towards growth and renewal, we embark on a 3 part journey towards clarity and purpose shall we?!
This theme will run across every area of my communication this month–my wesbsite, Social media; e-letter and Permission to Pause Podcast!
Lots of places for us to connect!
In this FIRST STEP out of 4, we’re immersing ourselves in the profound wisdom of aligning our PRIORITIES with God’s Word, found in Matthew 6:33 and Proverbs 16:3. These scriptures serve as our guiding beacons, illuminating the path towards a life anchored in God’s kingdom and righteousness.
Honestly, think about it–how often do we pause to assess our priorities?
In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters amidst the clamor of competing demands. That’s why step one of our journey calls us to conduct a thorough audit of our current priorities—an introspective exercise designed to realign our focus with the eternal truths that shape our existence.
As we embark on this voyage of self-discovery, let’s be mindful of the sacredness of this journey.
As the graphic says above, we have to take time to LISTEN to find the clarity we are looking for in life regardless of WHERE that clarity is needed!
We must set aside a sacred, quiet space, free from distractions, where we can connect with our innermost thoughts and aspirations.
I love to light a candle, take a deep breath, and invite God’s presence to sink into me very being.
With gentle reverence, let’s turn our gaze inward and examine the landscape of our hearts.
What occupies the forefront of our minds and consumes the bulk of our time and energy?
Are our priorities reflective of our deepest values and convictions?
Or have we allowed the trivial and transient to overshadow the eternal and transcendent?
In the stillness of this moment, invite the Holy Spirit to guide your reflections. Perhaps you’ll discover that your priorities are in perfect harmony with God’s will, serving as conduits of His grace and love in the world.
Or, on the contrary, you may gain more awareness of areas of discord—places where your priorities have drifted from God’s path leading you astray.
This audit is not an exercise in judgment but an invitation to realignment.
As we lay bare our priorities before God’s presence and for HIS VOICE , we open ourselves to the transformative power of grace and redemption. With each revelation, offer up a prayer of surrender, releasing that which no longer serves your highest good and embracing that which resonates with the heartbeat of heaven.
In the words of Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Let this prayer be your mantra as we navigate the depths of our souls, trusting in the faithfulness of the One who leads us towards the path of righteousness, then take steps to carry forth the insights gleaned from our audit of priorities into the tapestry of our everyday lives.
My desire is to walk daily with renewed clarity and purpose, guided by the light of God’s sweet wisdom and the assurance of His unfailing love.

Next post (and next podcast) I will continue with STEP TWO of my own CLARITY QUEST, digging deeper into the transformative journey towards a life of purpose and meaning.
Until then, remember to gift yourself with the gift of stillness and permission to pause. It truly is in the quiet spaces of our hearts that we encounter the presence of God and discover the clarity we seek.
Until we meet again, PROTECT YOUR PEACE!
