Days of Delight
Early this year I shared the verse of scripture that I felt God had given me for 2009. I have it on my refrigerator and in my prayer journal but more importantly, I have it engraved upon my heart.

One Half of 2011 has officially come to an end. These months have blown by in a wisp of wild and wonderful living that sometimes feel and look (in my mirror) like time travel on steroids. So far this year I have been to Alaska; Denver; New Mexico; Alabama; Ohio;…
I know that you guys have missed my “Sweet Tea” this past week. I have just returned from another new adventure in God with Lifeway. After a VERY!!! did I say “VEEERRRY” rough flight into the Springs, I sat in a chair in the middle of the airport and…
Honey and I are half way into our second day of rest in the stunning mountains of North Carolina. We have been blessed by some precious friends who have opened their mountain home for our restoration. I broke into tears when I stepped into the foyer. This is the living…
Him–“You are overweight” Me—-“Excuse Me?” Him—“You are overweight–close to 10 pounds!” Me(Close to tears)—-“I know, I have really tried, I have pretty much given up all sugar and I have been doing “The SHRED” every chance I get!!! This menopause stuff is making it so difficult. On top of that…
I have a confession to make. I like country music! Some of it anyway. My music of choice is without a doubt worship music of any kind which is pretty much all I listen to these days in my car, on my ipod and in my home. However, I cut…
I spent my Sunday morning this week in a restaurant at the beautiful Gaylord Palms in Dallas, Texas. With all the travel God has arranged for me over the past 2 1/2 years, I am learning to be content in many environments. Eating alone is one I am still working…
Oh how I long for some hours of uninterrupted conversation! It was a delight for ME to read all of this and know in advance that God is going to knock your socks off this summer!
Enjoy every bloomin’ minute of it!
I love you Pat.

God is taking you where He wants you to go! Keep sharing the TRUTH of His Word. Keep praying and caring for those you meet. It’s one-on-one – just like JESUS did!

Pat,
Thank you for your wonderful comment over at The Point. “Doing it afraid” is a great phrase. I will definitely use it again.
This fear thing is so new to me. Truly, I am not trying to brag or sound prideful but I’ve just never battled fear until I stepped into ministry. I know it makes perfect sense–a tactic of the enemy. I so desire to walk in victory and I know that the Lord and I CAN walk in victory over it.
God bless you as you minister this summer. I’m off to check out your speaking schedule…would love to hear you.

Pat,
I just prayed this morning for cancer to cease. Simply, cease. God can do it, He is a big God. I also just put to memory a verse that is so encouraging me:
God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love and more love!” Jeremiah 31:3 MSG
I wonder and ponder…how often do we expect good? Perhaps not enough!!!
Lovingly,
Yolanda
Praise Him for His wonderful Mercy and Grace! I am glad that you had a great time and got some much needed rest.
Looking forward to journeying with you.
