Circumstances vs Supernatural

Greetings Friends,

I have missed saying hello here on the blog over the past few weeks, and in spite of my many friends who are shy about commenting here, I have heard your sweet requests for MORE Living Free chatter. Thank you so much for caring!!

I LOVED having my Prayer Chair time looking up at my unfinished Christmas tree this morning. Come back later in the week for finished product photos!

Today I started my annual tradition of spending December in the book of Luke.

I would LOVE for you to join me and contribute to my chats here on the blog about what God shows us fresh and new!

This morning I read Luke 1:1-17 (so you are not far behind). I love how God’s LIVING WORD is made fresh every time I read it based upon my life and my heart at the time.

God’s Word is personal.

God’s Word is alive.

God’s Word is ready to lead, speak and comfort.

The things I saw today in these 17 verses reminded me of how God works in our circumstances and how HIS timing is not often MY timing. About how He hears our prayers and does not forget the desires of our hearts. About how HE works ALL THINGS together for our good (Romans 8:28) regardless of how it looks or feels to us at the moment. All of that was so good to remember and dwell upon for a few minutes. However–the RHEMA Word that I got today was found in the last part of verse 17 that says that John’s LIFE ASSIGNMENT was going to be:

“to make ready a people prepared for the Lord”

Oh my.

THAT is MY life assignment as well. My LIFE ASSIGNMENT is to “make ready” a “PEOPLE” prepared for the Lord!

My “PEOPLE” are those who have been heartbroken by a circumstance or a past mistake that has stolen the ABUNDANT LIFE that Jesus promises in John 10:10.

My “PEOPLE” are those who need to experience a renewed and refreshed personal freedom that will allow THEM to step into THEIR  God ordained life ASSIGNMENT!!

I was refreshed this morning by those Words spoken by an angel of the Lord to an old Saint while he was praying :). I’m an old saint and I am praying 🙂

What do YOU SEE in these first 17 verses of Luke??

Who are YOUR “People”? Is it the sick or the old? Is it the poor? How about children? It is those who need homes? Who are YOUR “people?

The friend with the most “Comments” by December 25 will receive a Hard Cover Copy of my new book, officially releasing on January 22!

  4. While God has me in a season of pruning, this is a great word for me to focus my heart not so much on what He is doing IN me, but what He is doing THROUGH me. I have had a little pity party lately due to circumstances not being what looks like a whole lotta “good” a la Romans 8:28 – more like a James 1:2 sorta life these days. 😉 But He IS faithful and is continuing a good work in me, so that He can be glorified THROUGH me, while I make ready my PEOPLE! My people are the 6 children in my home (and one in my womb) with my last name, and the children and families of God’s ministry he chose me and equips me to lead. Praise Him today for this sweet reminder from a young old saint to a thirty-something saint! I will do my best to check in on my own, but it helps a bunch when you post your updates on FB. 🙂

    1. Thank you Dori, that is so sweet of you to say. You should have seen me in my Prayer Chair today, soaking tissues with my failures–that fact that God still uses me somehow is more evidence of HIS power at work within us!!
      Love you!
