What Color is Your Change of Seasons?

Pumpkin spice and everything nice!

Fall

OK, so I took some liberties on that old nursery rhyme.

One thing about waking up on the West Coast rather than the East, is that I wake up at O’Dark Thirty which is 3 HOURS earlier than Tampa, resulting in a few extra blog post hours 🙂 You could say, I’m “Sleepless in Seattle” (LOL..and as FUNNY as EVVEERR!!)

Here in Seattle, I’m grabbing a few bits and pieces of Fall lovin’ however I can☺ They actually have some trees changing colors here!

Tis the season for pumpkin patches, worn out flannels, spice teas, changing foliage, and apple cider. It’s all YUMMY, though at times a little difficult to FEEL in the still-present haze of the Florida heat so I am taking it in while I can!

Yes, change is coming – yet again! It’s not always welcome but it’s always expected; It’s not always easy, but it’s always transformative; It’s not always kind, but it’s always enlightening. Change is a constant, is it not?

The question for me is how to grab hold of CHANGE and make it my own – not a knee jerk reaction to events but a full-out embrace of new adventures. Yes, I’m going to give change a hug, squeeze the day lights out of it, and make it mine! Boy, I can talk a big game, can’t I?? LOL

My prayer for this season of the Possibilities Challenge is to …

Practice Gratitude! (remember this post? Only 78 Days left to Praise in 2014)

Dream Big! Sometimes if I’m not careful, I can allow my heart to get STUCK in what has passed me by rather than what God has ahead for me. Can you relate?

Choose to be UnRushed! It is so easy to take in a special and timely message like The Best Yes, but forget it as soon as the book is highlighted, dog-eared and back on the shelf. I want the message of this book to stay with me. I am determined to allow this season of change to help me stay UnRushed!

How about YOU? What are you Change of Season goals?

I love this verse! Do you have a change of season verse?

“He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

Daniel 2:21

Blessings!

Pat

  1. The one that comes to my mind when the seasons change is Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

  2. I love that verse!! Thank you for sharing. My color is October and all the blended beauty of this season. I absolutely love fall and maybe that is why I don’t mind change, in fact I rather like it. I am the type of person that gets bored with the same routine. So bring in the fall and all that leads to the holidays!!

  3. Ecclesiastes 3:1 is a perfect verse for me. It helps me to know that no trouble is going to last forever and I’m NEVER alone!
